I hope you don't mind me starting with a brief story from my life:
One of my mother's dream was to write and publish a book. She never fulfilled this dream before she died.
Before she died i wanted to do the same.
There was a moment in my life when i felt inspired to one day write a book and i shared this with one of the pastors at a church i was attending at the time. I shared this with him ecause he had successfully published a book he wrote that the church began using as part of their new member class.
When i met with this pastor, he replied that i would never write a book.
Although his response was disheartening and upsetting, i maintained my compsure and respect for him; not his response.
Doubt can come from influencers, friends, family, coworkers, and from within. Sometimes when others doubt you, you may begin to doubt yourself; and self doubt may weaken one's confidence.
Since mindset is central to life and affects every area of one's life, what happens in one area, situation or moment has a ripple effect throughout the individual's life.
As a professional, managing thoughts, feelings, words and actions (mindset) is extremely important to productivity and success both personally and professionally.
